Shipping, Returns & Booking Terms

These terms apply to purchases made through The Studio, including exhibition artworks, workshops, events and other products available through our website or in person.

By making a purchase or booking with The Studio, you agree to the terms outlined below.

Workshops & Events

Bookings

Bookings for workshops and ticketed events are confirmed once payment has been received. Places are limited and your place is not secured until your booking has been completed.

Please check the date, time and details of your booking carefully before purchasing.

Cancellations & Refunds

Unless otherwise stated for a particular event, workshop and event bookings are non-refundable for change of mind.

If you can no longer attend, you may transfer your booking to another person. Please contact The Studio before the event with the name of the person attending in your place.

Where possible, and at The Studio's discretion, we may also offer a credit toward a future workshop if sufficient notice is provided. Credits are not guaranteed and will depend on the nature of the event, notice provided and costs already committed.

Failure to attend a workshop or event without notice will not be eligible for a refund or credit.

Cancellations by The Studio

On rare occasions, The Studio may need to cancel or reschedule an event or workshop due to circumstances outside our reasonable control, including illness, facilitator availability or other unforeseen circumstances.

If The Studio cancels an event, guests will be offered a refund or, where appropriate, the option to transfer their booking to a rescheduled date.

If an event is rescheduled and you are unable to attend the new date, please contact us to discuss the options available to you.

The Studio is not responsible for additional costs incurred in attending an event, such as travel or accommodation, unless required by law.

Workshop Outcomes

Our workshops are creative, hands-on experiences and individual results will naturally vary.

For ceramic workshops, pieces may require glazing, firing or other finishing after the workshop. While every reasonable care is taken, ceramics can occasionally crack, warp, change colour or be damaged during firing due to the nature of the process.

Collection timeframes provided at the time of booking are estimates only. We will contact you when your finished piece is ready for collection.

Exhibition Artwork Purchases

Purchasing Artwork

Artwork displayed at The Studio or available through our online exhibition store may be purchased subject to availability.

Purchasing an artwork secures that piece for you. As original artworks are unique, availability cannot be guaranteed until payment has been successfully processed.

Exhibition Display Period

Unless otherwise stated or agreed with The Studio, artworks purchased during an exhibition may remain on display at The Studio until the conclusion of the exhibition.

This means your artwork may not be available for immediate collection or shipping.

The expected collection or dispatch date will be communicated with you following your purchase.

Collection

Where local collection is selected, The Studio will contact you when your artwork is ready.

Artwork should be collected within the timeframe agreed with The Studio. If you require an alternative collection arrangement, please contact us.

Shipping Artwork

Shipping is not automatically included in the listed price of an artwork unless expressly stated.

Where shipping is available, applicable shipping and handling costs will be confirmed at checkout or arranged with you separately based on the size, weight, value and destination of the artwork.

We take reasonable care when packaging artwork for transport. Where appropriate, specialist art couriers or additional insurance may be recommended or required for larger, fragile or higher-value works.

Please ensure your delivery address is correct when placing your order.

Damage in Transit

If your artwork arrives damaged, please contact The Studio as soon as reasonably possible after delivery and provide photographs of the packaging and artwork so we can assess the issue and arrange an appropriate resolution.

Please retain all original packaging until the matter has been resolved.

Returns & Change of Mind

Due to the unique nature of original artwork, we do not generally accept returns for change of mind.

We encourage you to review artwork dimensions, imagery and information carefully before purchasing. If you would like additional photographs, dimensions or information about an artwork before purchasing online, please contact us.

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Physical Products

Shipping

Shipping costs and available delivery options will be displayed at checkout where applicable.

Orders will be prepared and dispatched as soon as reasonably possible. Any delivery timeframe provided is an estimate and may be affected by circumstances outside The Studio's control.

Once an order has been dispatched, you will receive tracking information where tracking is available.

Returns

We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind unless otherwise stated.

If an item is faulty, damaged, incorrectly described or otherwise fails to meet a consumer guarantee under Australian Consumer Law, please contact us so we can arrange an appropriate remedy.

Pricing & Payments

All prices are displayed in Australian dollars (AUD).

Where GST applies, prices are inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated.

Payment must be made in full at the time of purchase or booking unless another arrangement has been agreed with The Studio in writing.

Photography at Events

Photography and video may occasionally be captured during exhibitions, workshops and events at The Studio for promotional and archival purposes.

Where photography or filming is taking place, we will endeavour to make attendees aware. If you would prefer not to be photographed or filmed, please let a member of The Studio team know.

Changes to Events & Exhibitions

The Studio reserves the right to make reasonable changes to workshop facilitators, event programming, exhibition details, opening hours or other arrangements where necessary.

We will endeavour to communicate any significant changes to affected customers as soon as reasonably possible.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
